Swept to Sea reveal "Crown in Ashes" music video (metalcore)

San Francisco Bay Area metalcore band Swept to Sea have just revealed a new music video for their latest single “Crown in Ashes“. This is the third music video & single taken from their upcoming debut EP album Tides which is scheduled to be released on December 2, 2022 via Eclipse Records. The music video was directed by Pedro Salgado & Claudia Golden. “Dressing up as medieval peasants was definitely as fun as I thought it would be and being a huge fan of that time period made shooting Crown in Ashes a blast” says guitarist Gio Fox “we had a good turnout of friends and family who dressed up and helped us overthrow the corrupt king! My best friend Andrew Johnson took on the role of the king and killed it! Being a professional MMA fighter Andrew didn’t mind taking a beating by an angry mob of peasants haha!“ Bassist Sean Kameny adds, “This was probably my favorite shoot so far. From what started out as a bit of a nightmare with the pivot in location for the band shots (that turned out to be a blessing in disguise), to the little nature hike we all took in the Sunol Wilderness to the location for the story scenes. Besides, I look like I belong in medieval times as it is so it wasn’t too hard for me to get into character!”

Tides by Swept to Sea is a six song EP that draws its influences of the Northern European kind, encountering a massive fist fight with both Groove and American Metalcore. The aftermath of this fistful of Metal is brutal, bludgeoning, and bloody, yet also portrays a variety of emotional states that deliver reality right in one’s face.
