Bobaflex headlines Alrosa Villa benefit in Columbus, Ohio. The benefit was held in honor of the victims of the senseless tragedy which occurred there and took the lives of Dimebag Darrell Abbott among others. The band debuted a brand new song called “The Guardian” which was written in honor of Officer Neggameyer whom took control of the situation that night. Officer Neggameyer was there and took the stage for a few seconds during Bobaflex’s set, the crowd’s response was overwhelming with cheers and chants of “Hero – Hero – Hero” as he waved and graciously disappeared. In addition to the usual songs, the band performed a bunch of new material from their up-coming album tentatively entitled “Bright red Violent Sex” to be released sometime later this year by Eclipse Records.
