SAINT DIABLO are a savage Latin Metal band who hail from Virginia. Three years after releasing their self-titled national debut, Saint Diablo returned with their sophomore metal masterpiece entitled, ‘Devil Horns and Halos’ (2015). The album was produced by Tim “Rumblefish” Gilles (Anthrax, Taking Back Sunday, Ill Nino) at Big Blue Meenie studios in Jersey City, NJ. The album featured ten ferocious tracks of raging metal which captured the band’s abilities as songwriters and performers as they had never been showcased before.

The title track, ‘Devil Horns and Halos,’ hit particularly close to home for the band. “The honest folks wear their devil horns, so you know what you’re getting…they are out for themselves,” states Tito, “but the halo-wearers are the masked ones you’re unsure of. They’re supposed to be the good guys, but often, they end up showing their true colors. The frustration and confusion of this dynamic is what ‘Devil Horns and Halos’ is all about.”

Saint Diablo released the aggressive and haunting video titled, Ancient Astronautsto much critical acclaim (2019) and began working on an EP. Then the world changed and refigured itself into a seething nest of political atrocities, democratic breakdowns, world sickness, family losses, and monstrous shut-downs. In a gesture of hope and warning, Saint Diablo released their 2022 single titled, Odiofrom their new EP (in progress). This powerful and melodic metal song reflects the turbulent times we live in and offers the bold proposal that we can thrive under the worst conditions. It is a delightful, delicate balancing act we must engage, and Saint Diablo gives us the roadmap. Hate (Odio) has become a commodity used to divide us. Don’t feed the Odio! (Thanks to Dave Chavarri, who produced, mixed, and mastered the track at Cozy Ark Studios).

As an additional point of interest, we are proud to offer kudos to Tito (aka “Efro”) for being cast alongside Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust), and Heidi Shepherd (Butcher Babies) in the raucous horror film titled, The Virginia Bitches, directed by Scott B. Hansen at Digital Thunderdome.

The Reckoning is the scorching new album by Saint Diablo that ignites the senses with its blistering intensity and unrelenting energy. Featuring four electrifying tracks, including “Voice on the Phone,” “Dame Todo,” “Cosmic Inferno,” and a captivating live rendition of the fan-favorite “Odio,” this powerhouse collection showcases the band’s mastery of their craft and their unyielding commitment to delivering hard-hitting, no-holds-barred metal. The album was produced, mixed, and mastered by Chris Anger (III Nino, Wyclef Jean, Luny Tunes) at Sound Republic Studio, engineered by Brandon Dickey & Justin Adams at Revive Studios, and the cover art was created by Chris Anger.

“The Reckoning” was released via Eclipse Records on July 19, 2024
